Aging and Disability Services

Life changes, and sometimes you need a little help

We serve seniors (people age 60 and older), people with disabilities age 18 and older, and veterans. We’re here to identify resources that will let them live independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

Relief from the Heat!

As the temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that there are many places seniors and people with disabilities can go to get relief from the heat.  Please review our list of dozens of locations that offer air-conditioned comfort  (and a chance to visit with neighbors and friends at the same time)! Make sure to call ahead to the hours of air-conditioned spaces.

Our web-based tool allows people to locate adult care homes based on a wide range of criteria:  location, accessibility, bedroom/bathroom preferences, outdoor facilities, vacancies, etc.  Pictures of the homes are generally available as well. Visit the Find a Home Website.
